The price of a Dominatrix
If the idea of meeting a Professional Dominatrix you're probably wondering why we charge such a high hourly rate. Is it all about the money for us? The short answer is no, not at all. The more comprehensive answer is also no, but requires some explanation. Here are a few reasons why our hourly rate is so high.
Financial expenses
The equipment
Equipping a dungeon is very expensive. A single piece of furniture can cost thousands of euros. A good-quality handmade swift costs at least €100. The price of a hand-woven whip starts at around €200, and a good-quality dildo at around €50. Most reputable professional Dominatrices have large collections of these items and more. Leather handcuffs, hoods, nipple clamps, chains, paddles... the list goes on.
Clothing
You love to see us wearing fabulous outfits, well-tailored dresses, latex, leather and lace. Silk tights and quality lingerie are expensive and need to be replaced regularly. I have an extensive wardrobe dedicated to fetishes so that every time we meet, I can wear a gorgeous new outfit for you to admire, and I'm constantly adding pieces to my collection.
And then there are our shoes...
Hygienic products
Condoms, lubricant, disposable gloves and cleaning products are a monthly expense that most people don't think about. I estimate, on average, that for one session, I use a minimum of 10-20 gloves, more if there's a lot of anal play or MedFet.
All my toys are soaked in a solution to sterilize them before and after each use. All dildos, even if sterile, will have a condom.
As you enter the bathroom, you'll find a small toiletry kit that includes a disposable enema bulb, razor, toothbrush and, of course, a clean towel. Small expenses that add up.
Speaking of towels, you wouldn't believe how much laundry we have to do! Towels, sheets, rags galore. One session = one load of laundry (or more). And no, I don't have a house slave all to myself. My standards are far too high to entrust my housework to just anyone.
Location
Having a place dedicated to gaming is very expensive, especially in big cities. I'm lucky enough to have a dungeon, The Justice Roomjust for me. As you know, rent in Paris is very high. I have almost 40m2 to pay...
Unfortunately in Paris, dungeon rental isn't possible, and if it were, it would cost at least 50€ an hour (and I think I'm being conservative with this figure). I'll let you do the math, taking into consideration one of our biggest expenses, taxes.
Taxes
Most of the Professional Dominatrixes pay their taxes. This means that a huge percentage of what we earn goes to the state. I'm not complaining. I appreciate all the social protection I have in France, but 24% of my income goes directly to the State.
While we pay our taxes, we can't deduct our many expenses like other businesses. As a result, all the money we spend on the equipment mentioned above is not considered a business expense.
Hidden expenses
Do you like our pretty pictures? A photo shoot costs between 100 and 300€ (or more) for 10-15 images. Site hosting, advertising, site administration services, fees for sites such as OnlyFans or LoyalFans... These aren't necessarily huge expenses, but they do add up at the end of the month. Don't forget that I'm a business and have the same expenses as other small businesses.
Time outside sessions
Administration and e-mail
For every application I accept, I turn down two (quality, not quantity, is important to me). I always take the time to reply to e-mails, even if it's to refuse a session with someone. It may not seem like much, but it adds up pretty quickly. Regular communication with my customers takes time, whether through my newsletter, SMS, or emails. Once again, this is a business and like all others, I do my best to build a relationship with my customers.
What's more, a lot of wankers contact us. Fantasizers who just want to exchange a few e-mails but never intend to book a session. Others who deliberately want to waste our time (who knows why?!). When I was still accepting phone calls and text messages, I was overwhelmed by these guys. It's only since I've perfected my booking procedure (and learned to sniff them out from a mile away) that it's started to be less of a problem for me, but it still happens and eats up my precious time.
Post on social networks takes a MONSTROUS amount of time. Think about how you found my site. Probably through Twitter or Google, right? If I didn't spend hours a week creating and posting content, you'd never have found me.
Writing articles for my website takes time. Doing my accounts takes time. Writing my newsletter takes time. Editing photos and videos takes time. On average, for every hour I spend on sessions, I spend at least three hours on administrative work, and I'm not even taking into account the time I spend uploading photos to sites such as LoyalFans or OnlyFans.
Session preparation and cleaning
For those of you who have met me, you know that my play area is spotless. The floor doesn't clean itself, and since you'll probably be on all fours, I want to make sure there's no unwanted dirt on it. Before a session, I re-clean all the toys I plan to use. For those of you who have already done sessions with me, have you ever noticed that everything is already out and I don't find myself rummaging through my drawers looking for items? There's a reason for that! Everything that touches your body has been thoroughly cleaned beforehand.
And then my hair, my makeup, and my outfit because when you arrive, I want to look as gorgeous in person as I do in my photos and videos.
Cleaning up after a session takes a considerable amount of time. After a good session, it often feels like a tornado has ravaged my playroom. Everything I've used has to be washed before being put away, and again the floor, door handles and equipment (yes, before AND after the session).
Our training
We weren't born knowing how handle a singletail whip. The ability to understand how to lead a submissive into subspace using only a look or a few words takes years to learn. Knowing how to care for someone going through an incredibly intense moment requires stability and emotional maturity.
Most of us received extensive training before starting out as a professional Dominatrix, either through our lifestyle or by training with other pros. Personally, I already had a decade of experience in BDSM before turning pro. I attended events (and still do), watched other people play, read books and articles all the time, not only on how to practice safely but also on the psychological background of play. I invested in online and in-person workshops, attended festivals, and asked questions. I still do, and continue to improve my knowledge in a variety of ways.
The value of my time
Highly skilled workers are expensive, no matter what the field. If you were to change the roof on your house, you could do it cheaply. But will there be problems in the future? You can get a haircut for next to nothing, but will you wince every time you look in the mirror?
A lot of people tell me that if I lowered my rates, I'd get more bookings. That may be true, but I want quality, not quantity, and I think the same goes for the people who come to see me. What I offer is a luxury service, and I charge what I think I deserve. I offer my intimate energy (in addition to all the things I've already listed) and if you want access to that, you'll have to comply with my requirements.
Is consulting a pro Dominatrix reserved for the wealthy? Absolutely not, but for extremely motivated and dedicated people. Some of my subs save up for months to spend a few hours with me and I love that. It shows that they're willing to make sacrifices to benefit from an experience that will stay with them for a long time.

I didn't write this article to justify my prices. I wrote it for those of you who don't appreciate the work we do for what it's worth. I hope some of you will stop believing that sex work is easy money. I think most of my clients already understand the pride I take in my work and understand that it's just that: work. It's a job I love, even the less fun and glamorous parts. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing something I'm passionate about. Not everyone can say that, no matter what industry they're in.
